  6. B&B Mail is a full-featured record keeping system for the business needs 
  7. of sales personnel, retail establishments, manufacturers, offices, 
  8. utilities, and any business requiring the production of labels and related
  9. reports and zip code summaries.  B&B MAIL will assist you in look-up and
  10. maintenance of customer records in your marketing and communication efforts.

  59. INSTALLATION STEPS

  61. If you haven't made a BACKUP copy recently, do it now.

  64. 1) Make a "MAIL" directory:At C:\, enter MD MAIL, then CD\MAIL
  65.  
  66. 2) Enter COPY A:*.*
  67.  
  68. 3) Enter BBMAIL?? (substitute version number for ??) to extract files if
  69.    it is an .EXE file, or PkUNZIP if a .ZIP file.
  70.  
  71. 4) New Data Base Files will have a name "UPGR?" and will not overwrite your
  72.    existing .dbf files.

  74. 5) Use your editor and make sure your CONFIG.SYS file has these two lines:
  75.    FILES=40   (minimum)
  76.    BUFFERS=10 (minimum, try 15 or 20 for speed improvement)

  78. 6) Turn you computer off, then on (for config.sys to take effect).
  79.  
  80. 7) Enter MAIL to answer set-up questions, and get to main menu
  81.  
  82. 8) If you have Expanded Memory and have errors, enter 
  83.    SET QSEMS=0 at DOS (keeps 64k of EMS from being used).
